Identity and Ad Campaign

Brand Narrative: We are not in a box; we constantly change, grow, and evolve into something bigger and better. In a sense, we are shapeshifters with the ability to change into whatever we want to be. Our prairies are filled with a diverse amount of plants and wildlife, the same way our planet is filled with a diverse amount of individuals. By remodeling the typical aesthetics of the Kansas prairie into something more modern, individuals can embrace their diversity and transform into their fullest, boldest, most authentic form.

The concept of shapeshifting is all about transformation. The logo type utilizes curvy thick and thin strokes to represent the brand’s fluidity. The identity also draws inspiration from butterflies as its mascot shapeshifter. A butterfly’s metamorphosis is a metaphor for shapeshifting: they start as caterpillars and then turn into beautiful, free butterflies. Prairie Clothing Brand’s customers are meant to feel the same sense of transformation and freedom.

The distorted wing illustration is used alongside the tagline “it’s never too late to transform yourself” in the ad campaign to show Prairie Clothing Brand allows its customers to be whoever they want to be.
